After school hours are 230pm-8pm

Staff cannot stay after class closing time. Children must be picked up at the closing time.  One minute past the closing time is considered late. The time on the clock in the classroom is the official time. It is always recommended that you phone the program to let the staff and your child know what is happening, this will reduce the stress and worry for everyone! You will receive a late slip after the first minute you are late. Every min is a 1$ fee to be paid when you drop your child off the next morning or your child will not be able to return.  If your late arrival occurs on a Friday and your child is not returning the following week please pay when you arrive to retrieve your child. PayPal and Zelle payments accepted.

The following policy will be in effect:
If the child has not been picked up within 45 minutes of closing and we are unable to reach the people listed on the emergency form, we will notify the Brookhaven Police Department and request their assistance in locating you or other family members. If the late pickups continue the child may be suspended/and or dismissed from the program, determined by the Director.

Children’s Belonging

LinkUp Academy is not responsible for any belongings broken, lost or stolen. Children are responsible for their belongings. Please do not send valuable items to school, or anything that may need extra attention.

Our goal is for all children to be successful and enjoy their stay with us. For the safety and well being of all children, if a child (or parent) exhibits disruptive or dangerous behavior to himself or another person he/she may be suspended or terminated. The child that is having behavior issues will be removed from the other children and placed separately with a counselor until the behavior improves or while the parent is called. If the parent cannot be reached the emergency form contact information will be utilized. LinkUp Academy approach to discipline is to employ non-corporal punishment methods such as counseling, time out, chores, pushups/jumping jacks/running laps, etc.

If visitors/guardians wish to visit, they must stop by the front upon arrival and receive a visitor tag. A valid ID will be required to get a visitor tag to ensure your child’s safety. Due to the nature of our program, we will only allow 10 min visits during rehearsal time. Please call ahead of time, so that we can be expecting you and be available.  Any unknown adult not wearing a visitor tag may be identified as in intruder.

Medication Management

If your child has medication that must be en during the camp day, we must have a doctors’ note with your child’s name, the name of the medication, the dosage, and the time it is to be administered. Medication must be in the original packaging and should be turned in to the Director with your child’s name and the name of the medication clearly printed on the container. We understand that some medications, such as asthma inhalers or Epi-pens, must be kept readily available to the camper.  Please make a note ot this when you turn in the medication, and it will be kept with your child’s senior counselor at all times.  Please indicate all allergies and ongoing health issues during registration.
